Our Next Saturday Service is February 11th
Saturday Services at 5:30 pm
My name is Colin and I’m the pastor at St.Mark’s Church, an open and affirming, and incredibly warm Lutheran congregation in Waukegan. We are back with our new worship service on February 11th at 5:30 pm.This is an excellent invitation opportunity, so please bring a friend or neighbor! It will be a creative blend of modern songwriting, updated hymns, and heartfelt liturgy. On this and the 2nd Saturday of every month, we infuse art, music, and story into something we think is relevant to our times and will feed your heart and soul! We hope that you will carve out an hour on February 11th at 5:30 pm to join us!

Most specifically, this service is aimed at anyone who loves the progressive theology of churches like the ELCA that allows for all races, genders, sexualities and more to be invited to the table of Christ, but is looking for worship that is modern in feel. If you love traditional services, check out our weekly Sunday service!
Facilities: St. Mark's is a ADA compliant church, with handicapped parking in our main lot and easy access to our lower level with elevator to our middle and upper floors. Our front entrance has a ramp for drop offs and simple access to our sanctuary. There are accessible bathrooms on all our public levels and a gender-neutral/private bathroom located in our library near the sanctuary. It also has hearing loop capability for those with hearing aids.
Childcare: At this time, childcare is not available as most families have expressed that they would rather have their kids with them. As the need evolves, so will we! Busy bags are available to take and keep for all our youngest friends.

Everyone is welcome at St. Mark’s, all are worthy of God’s love and grace. We celebrate diversity and seek to be inclusive and celebrate every race, ethnicity, faith background, age, economic status, political affiliation, sexual orientation, gender identity, mental ability, or anything else that divides us. Christ’s church is not ours to control, nor is it our job to sort, divide, categorize or exclude. But it is our place to love all our neighbors, aid the less fortunate, and be a voice on their behalf. Welcome!
