Reflections in the Spirit Small Group
Reflections in the Spirit is a contemplative small group that meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 7 PM, either on Zoom or in-person, depending on weather and participant preference. The group practices *lectio divina*, a time-honored method of prayerful reading and reflection on scripture or spiritual writings. Through this process, participants are invited to deeply listen, meditate, and share insights as they feel led, fostering a supportive community grounded in faith. Newcomers are always welcome to join in this spiritual journey.

Gather Bible Study
Gather Bible Study convenes on the second Friday of each month at 5:30 PM, offering both in-person and Zoom participation options. The group follows the lessons found in the *Gather* magazine, providing a structured and enriching discussion environment. It’s a welcoming space for those looking to dive deeper into scripture and grow in their understanding of faith together.

Yarns of Compassion Community Group
Yarns of Compassion is a vibrant community group that meets on the third Monday of each month, January through November, from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at St. Mark’s. This group combines the joy of knitting and crocheting with service, creating handmade items that offer comfort and warmth to people locally and abroad. With a warm, inclusive atmosphere, members of all skill levels are encouraged to join, and newcomers can even learn to knit or crochet. The group’s projects range from prayer shawls to chemo caps, all crafted with love and compassion.

Women of St. Mark's Community Group
The Women of St. Mark's group is part of WELCA, which is the women's ministry organization of the ELCA.  It is separately incorporated and is not an auxiliary of the
church.  It is financially independent and responsible for its own financial affairs. Financial support comes from individual and group offerings and gifts. They host events like the June Prayer Breakfast,  Fall Retreat, and more. The Board meets the first Monday of each month at 7:00 pm in Fellowship Hall. It’s a space where women 18 and up can connect, share, and contribute to the church, broader community and National and International needs through acts of charity and faith.

Wednesday Night Zoom Bible Study
Join us for the Wednesday Night Zoom Bible Study from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM each week. This group focuses on in-depth study and discussion of different books of the Bible, providing a platform for participants to deepen their understanding of scripture in a collaborative, online environment. It’s an engaging midweek opportunity for spiritual growth and connection.

Helen Binning's Reflections of the Season Bible Study
Helen Binning’s Reflections of the Season Bible Study meets on the second Tuesday of each month at noon, from September through May, in the Fellowship Hall. This group shares a potluck lunch followed by a study session; this fall, they are exploring *Ladder to the Light* by Episcopal priest Steven Charleston. It’s a welcoming and reflective space for those looking to grow in faith and community.

Ushers are the first to greet and seat worshippers at St. Mark’s, helping to create a welcoming atmosphere for all who attend. They assist with the flow of the service, including offering collection and communion directions.

Communion Servers
Communion Servers assist with the distribution of communion during worship services, ensuring that this important sacrament is shared smoothly and reverently with the congregation.

Lectors/Readers
Lectors and Readers play an important role in our worship services by reading scripture aloud. Their clear and thoughtful presentation of the Word enriches the worship experience for all attendees.

The Tech Team operates the sound, lighting, and livestreaming equipment during worship services and events, ensuring that both in-person and online attendees have a seamless experience. They also manage PowerPoint presentations and other multimedia elements.
