St. Mark’s will participate again this year in the annual CROP Hunger Walk to help families, locally and around the world, who are struggling with hunger and food insecurity. One quarter of the funds raised stay in the local community to serve residents through organizations like the COOL Food Pantry.
For the last few years, the walk has been virtual – meaning there is no formal route and time for us to walk with other groups. For the St. Mark’s team, we are planning to combine our walking for the CROP Walk with our October Creation Walk, held on Saturday the 30th of October at Raven Glen Forest Preserve. We will meet in the parking lot there at 9:30 a.m. You can join our CROP Walk team even if you cannot join us on the actual walk, and you can attend the October Creation Walk regardless of whether you participate in the CROP Walk.
